Lisa Cooper is a visual artist living and working in Minnesota. While not originally from the North Star State, she has lived in Minnesota long enough to have started using words like ‘Hotdish’ and ‘Ope’, to play ‘Duck, Duck, Gray Duck’ rather than ‘Goose’ and to have hiked most of the Superior Hiking Trail.
In her work as an illustrator, Lisa has created chapter art for nine books, a Kids Yoga training manual and two coloring books. She has designed jewelry in collaboration with Marlo M Fine Jewelry, which was featured in the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. Working with international children’s author, Kimberlie Nitti, Lisa has created art and interactive worksheets for her popular book readings and public events in Scotland.
Working primarily in pencil, ink and acrylic and watercolor washes, she is inspired by nature and its energy, often returning home from backpacking or day hikes full of new ideas and inspiration. Lisa’s art centers around drawings that impart the feelings of peace and happiness that we find in nature and Sigil Art that draws upon our dreams and manifesting our own power and personal magic.
