Jellybean Johnson

Jellybean Johnson is a Minnesota treasure. He is the original and current drummer for the Prince created band, The Time. He is also and continues to be the drummer with another Prince created band, The Family. Jellybean is a renowned guitarist appearing both nationally including on the Blues circuit and locally around the city with his own band, The Jellybean Johnson Experience, and sitting in with many local artists. He has lent his playing to many recordings as well from Morris Day to Alexander O’ Neal. As a producer at Flyte Tyme Studios Jellybean wrote and produced for many artists including Nona Hendrix, New Edition, Michael Jefferies and had a number one hit with Janet Jackson, “Black Cat.”
The Jellybean Johnson Experience is also the name of his latest upcoming recorded project. He is working with a variety of friends and national and local talent that showcases his guitar and writing skills and his ability to collaborate with artists.
